Today I was going to make the dose be a song called "Valentine's Day" for obvious reasons. It was perfect! I had it planned, but of course most of these daily doses never work by plan. They tend to be quite spontaneous and just jump out unexpectedly.
I spent my Valentine's Day with friends. At night, Casey and I made a very fancy dinner for us and our friends. We had salad (bleu cheese dressing. Nom!), spaghetti (mushroom, onion, and garlic in the sauce. Mmm.), garlic bread, red wine (7 Deadly Sins... a bit sweet.), cheese cake, and little chocolate mouse shots made by Casey's mom. It was fantastic. My Valentine's Day turned out way better than expected.
Well anyway, despite my excessive babbling, this dinner story is in fact semi-relevant to how this song became the song of the day. When we came back to the apartment after buying the ingredients for dinner, I opened the refrigerator and began humming a tune. Without even noticing I was doing it, Casey asks "Are you humming 'Like a Virgin'?". And so I was! How perfect!
